Description

Information About Berirab P 750IU Injection

Berirab P 750IU Injection is used in conjunction with the rabies vaccine to prevent rabies. It works by providing your body with the antibodies it requires to fight the rabies virus. It is only given to previously unvaccinated people once, at the start of anti-rabies prophylaxis.

750IU Berirab P Injection should always be combined with a rabies vaccine. Post-exposure prophylaxis consists of one dose of immunoglobulin and full rabies vaccine regimens. This should be administered as soon as feasible following exposure. Both active (vaccine) and passive (Immunoglobulin) immunization prevent the rabies virus from entering the central nervous system, but they become ineffective after the virus has entered the central nervous system. This vaccine is only given once in a lifetime. Induration (swelling at the injection site), discomfort, and pruritus (itching) were minor adverse effects.
